Sobell House Hospice has an extra £1,000 to help it provide palliative and end of life care to the residents of Oxfordshire.

Holding the big cheque, and pictured from left to right, are Ross Joiner representing the Enterprise Holdings Foundation, Kelly Houghton from Sobell House and Jessica Jones, CLM’s Head of Client Relationship Management.

Enterprise presents cheque to Sobell House

Enterprise is a valued daily rental partner to CLM; the Enterprise Holdings Foundation (EHF), its philanthropic division, was founded in 1982 to enable employees of Enterprise’s operating subsidiaries to give back to their local communities. The foundation also partners with Enterprise’s customers to support initiatives important to them.

In order to request a donation for an organisation, the requestor must be personally and actively involved in the charity; in this case, Jessica Jones nominated Sobell House having experienced the quality of its care first hand when her mum passed away in 2013.

Jess’s nomination was recently reviewed by the EHF Board and following approval, the presentation took place on Friday 10th April.

Said Jess:

“It was very emotional for me, my first revisit to Sobell House since mum died. I know that the team did a fantastic job for my mum, but going back opened my eyes about how well it supports all its patients (and their families) and how hard the fundraisers have to work to raise the funds necessary to keep the hospice running.

And on that subject – I have signed up to take part in the Oxford Moonlight stroll on 11th July 2015.”

Ross Joiner, Strategic Account Manager, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, said:

“I was very proud to be able to present this cheque to Sobell House Hospice. The staff members do an incredible job of providing care to patients and support to their families. I was pleased to be in a position to be able to support a cause so close to the heart of such a valued business partner.”
